The hottest tour of the US summer is heading for Australia this summer.
Timeless and enduring, Sade will perform their first Australian shows in more than 20 years when they make a long overdue and much-awaited return this December for a series of indoor and a day on the green shows, including an evening on the green at The Esplanade, Perth on Tuesday December 6.
The band bears the name of its stylish and enigmatic lead singer, Nigerian-born and UK-raised Sade Adu.
More than 20 years have passed since Adu, Stuart Matthewman (guitar/saxophone), Andrew Hale (keyboards) and Paul Denman (bass) – collectively known as Sade – last gave Australian fans a taste of their flawless blend of R&B, soul, jazz and soft rock.
After a wait of ten years Sade are currently performing sell-out arena shows across the US, having performed to more than 600,000 people in 75 cities and 13 countries this year.
Boasting visually stunning production elements, the critically acclaimed 2011 world tour follows the 2010 release of Sade’s sixth studio album ‘Soldier Of Love’ (Epic Records) and has become on the biggest success stories of the US concert business this summer, boasting unanimous critical raves and multiple sell out shows in the major US cities, having already played to more than 400,000 US fans.
Sade are currently performing sell-out arena shows across the US, having performed to more than 600,000 people in 75 cities on this year’s world tour. Sade’s classic sound and haunting, unmistakable vocals creates an intimate and unforgettable two-hour concert experience, designed by Baz Halphin (Pink, Tina Turner, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift) and set to the stunning visuals of creative director Sophie Muller.
The more than two-hour long spell-binding set list takes fans on a journey through a collection of timeless hits; from the iconic ‘Smooth Operator’, ‘The Sweetest Taboo’, ‘Your Love Is King’ and ‘Is it a Crime?’ to ‘Soldier of Love’.
The live show features a “jumbo-sized LED screen projecting videos and dazzling imagery behind [Sade] Adu and the eight other musicians onstage… achieve the breathtaking atmosphere…” according to Billboard Magazine.

Sade has enjoyed phenomenal international success throughout their 27-year career. Since releasing debut album ‘Diamond Life’ in 1984, each of the band’s six classic studio albums have reached the Top 10 of Billboard’s Top 200 Album Chart, selling more than 57 million albums worldwide to date, earning Sade Adu the title of highest selling British female artist of all time.
Sade’s latest studio album, the Grammy Award winning album ‘Soldier of Love’ (Sony Music), debuted at #1 and reigned at the top of the Billboard album chart for three weeks. Rolling Stone calling the album “unimpeachably excellent” whilst Billboard proclaimed “it’s been 10 years since Sade released an album… the giant has awoken”.

CONCERT & CANAPÉ PACKAGE
This ticket is an all-inclusive concert and hospitality package. The Concert & Canapé area is positioned away from the stage where patrons can enjoy an exclusive and relaxed setting. It is ideal for couples or groups who want to enjoy delicious gourmet food and premium wines with the convenience of private restroom facilities; it’s the perfect opportunity to entertain clients, reward staff or to enjoy the day in style!
The Concert & Canapé area is a stand-up function – price includes food, beverages, concert ticket and your premium seating being available front of stage to view the show. A delectable array of hot and cold canapés and cocktail food will be offered, complemented by a selection of impressive West Cape Howe premium red and white wines, quality beers, sparkling white and refreshing soft drinks.
The Concert & Canapé area opens at 5.30pm and closes at 7.30pm where guests are welcomed to their premium seating are at the front of the stage. At the conclusion of the evening’s superb entertainment, make your way back to the Function area; relax and mingle with friends as refreshments are served for 30 minutes.
WE PLAY RAIN OR SHINE: If it looks like rain please bring wet weather protection (ponchos & raincoats). Umbrellas are not permitted into the venue.

SEATING: Concert & Canapé, Gold and Silver Reserved tickets include a dedicated seat. General Admission ticket holders will need to bring own seat if required. Low deck chairs are recommended. High deck chairs will be positioned at the rear of the venue. A seating area is provided for those with wheelchair requirements.

NOT PERMITTED: Strictly NO BYO alcohol and NO glass items. This is a fully licensed event. No tables or umbrellas, professional SLR cameras, video or recording equipment, metal cutlery, wine spikes, tents or sun shelters. The Esplanade is a smoke free venue.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY: All bags are subject to a safety and security search upon entry. No Pass Outs.
PARKING: Please visit City of Perth Parking for information on car park locations, operating times and parking fees. A drop off zone is located at the venue entrance on Barrack Street. ACROD Parking is located on The Esplanade, accessible via Barrack Street.

MINORS: Children under 18 years of age who have purchased a ticket will only be permitted into the concert site if they are accompanied by their parent/step-parent or legal guardian. If a minor is NOT ACCOMPANIED by their parent/step-parent or legal guardian they will be refused entry to the concert and they will not receive a refund on their ticket.
